September is Alopecia Awareness Month

September is Alopecia Awareness month. Alopecia is the medical term for the loss of hair from the head or body, sometimes to the extent of baldness. Alopecia affects over 5 million people in the United States alone.

Every year many organizations and businesses like us, get together to help raise awareness and to empower those afflicted with this disease. This year the theme is “Team Up for Alopecia Areata."

To learn more about Alopecia and to find out how you can help raise awareness in your community, visit the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.

  1. It’s good to create awareness about such critical problem. Very often the word alopecia defines the hair loss problem in both men and women. People should be aware about its symptoms and correct diagnosis to get rid of this problem. Try to consult a physician to get vulnerable advice. Also you have the option of seeking online consultation with well-known doctors at without any charge.
